Stored Pressure, Dry Powder, Fire Extinguisher with mounting bracket

This 2kg, Powder extinguisher is best suited for vehicles and topical application in small premises, combating  risk of small, localised fires, involving live electrical equipment, fuel gas, rubber, plastics, wood, paper or flammable liquid fires. Use this at home, for the kitchen, along with a Fire Blanket, for small boats and vehicles.

Easy to direct at the base of the fire, Dry Powder extinguishers have very good 'knock-down' characteristics. The powder smothers flames and deprives the fire of oxygen but, unlike Water and foam extinguishers, powder takes out little of the heat of combustion, which makes powder not the best means to extinguishing fires in wood, paper and other solid material that holds great heat. 

Powder Fire extinguishers leave a mess and, used on engine fires, may cause as much damage as the fire, on bearing component surfaces (see Fire Risk Guidance, in the information section)

Suitable for: premises with live electrical equipment and risk from flammable liquid fires: machine and vehicle fires, warehouses, garages and workshops.
