Made by PETZL, the leading manufacturer of harnesses and climbing gear, this is acknowledged the expert's working harness, around the World; together with its close cousin - the Navaho harness. Which one best suits depends largely on what other PPE and kit you will be wearing. The Navaho design is closer to a traditional rock-climbing harness, augmented with shoulder webs and connected by single ventral and dorsal webs. The NEWTON is designed more alike a traditional, industrial body harness and is perhaps more appropriate for confined space and other forms of extrication and rescue work, in our view. From the attached videos, you will doubtless note these differences.

Intended for rapid intervention, rescue and difficult climbing access, the NEWTON-FAST-JAK comprises two, standard, PETZL components: the NEWTON-FAST harness and the 'JAK' vest.

Thus combined, the assembly provides fast, comfortable donning and doffing and easy, secure connections to a range of climbing and rescue accessories.

Secure, simple (almost fool-proof) 'double-back' buckles and safety-lock clasps, provide easy adjustment. It is even equipped with a cell-phone pocket.

The NEWTON-FAST-JAK combination cleans and maintains well and quickly and it is just about the lightest, most verstatile harness we have ever used for our safety contracting and hire business.

Replacing the Petzl C70 'waistcoat-style' harness, of the 'nineties - our old favourite- the new C73 model provides improvements in sizing and comfort; options for shoulder suspension points (for straight lifts and shaft access), side 'D'-ring attachemnts for 'Polesmen' and much faster buckle connectors and adjusters.

What comes 'standard' is what you see, Harness and vest, with automatic buckles and ventral and dorsal attachment rings - plus the usual, PETZL, damp and dust resistant stowage bag; with its see-through inspection and identity tag holder.

The C73 comes in three sizes: 0, 1 and 2. These repspectively relate to MEN'S clothing sizes, S-M, L and XL -
in centimeters; that is:

• Waist sizes;  68 - 95, 75 - 104 and 97 - 125:
• Leg size (thigh girth), 45 - 60, 53 - 66 and 55 - 75:
• Height: 165 - 180, 173 - 187, 180 - 195
