This First Aid kit provides a sensible and comprehensive range of contents in a high impact, waterproof, plastic box. The box has stainless steel pin hinges and plastic clips, which locate the lid onto its gasket. It will thus protect the contents from wetting at up to a Metre under water. First Aid at Work guidance is included with an instruction sheet for the PORTABREATH resuscitation aid, which, unlike pocket masks and rescue sheets, offers effective protection against cross contamination with the patient.

PORTABREATH also helps maintain a clear airway, improves the rescuer’s ventilation position to make prolonged ventilation more comfortable and it reduces the effort needed by the rescuer for effective ventilation.

The phials of sterile saline are very useful in any remote place where clean water is unavailable. Typically, particles on the surface of the eye can be safely removed with less than two thirds of a phial, by squeezing the contents onto the sclera at a slight pressure, so providing welcome relief for the casualty.

In all, the kit is provided for virtually any First Aid requirement, which might affect lone workers and small excursion parties.

Contents fit neatly into the box, with room for small accessories, such as splinter forceps. Scissors are not needed, as the contents are opened easily and dressing tape is tearable. Safety pins are not recommended for use on boats or for outdoor activities.
