RAE Colorimetric reagent test Tubes
offer simple, accurate sampling of airborne gases and vapours.
The target gas, or vapour, reacts in the graduated tube causing a colour change. By reading the scale to the point at which the colour change (reaction) has taken place, the mass of incident gas that has passed through the tube is read on the tube's graduated scale, as a proportion of the sample volume - either in parts per million or in milligrammes per cubic Metre.
Designed for the Rae sampling pump, sampling volumes are more accurate than usually achieved using bellows pump; so there is less margin of operator error.
As with all chemical reaction tests, pressure and temperature will have some affect on accuracy - as will relative humidity- depending on the test tube concerned. Instructions clearly state the limits of accuracy and provide error calculation for significant variances from STP.
Rae tubes are priced per pack of ten, representing very good value for money, as well as a safe and accurate means of testing, when continous sampling is not needed.
