Made by Interspiro (previously known as AGA); the inventors of Positive Pressure Breathing Apparatus; there are no simpler, safer escape sets than Spiroscape, short duration breathing apparatus (SDBA) .
Quickly and simply donned; the user can focus on safe egress and escape: without fuss; without delay and with very easy training and practise (both of which are required by UK Regulation).
Such efficiency is enhanced; for example; by the unique ambient air valve, which automatically opens when the cylinder is depleted; thereby eliminating risk of subsequent anoxia, inside the hood.
The Patent air distribution system expels expired CO2, reducing relative breathing rates and so optimizing the use of air from the cylinder.
Operated simply by pulling the quick start tab, this action simultaneously opens the zip on the carrying bag, allowing fast access to the hood, whilst the 'anti-tamper' tag verifies its integrity and readiness for use. An integral cylinder contents gauge is easily be read from the outside, for those regular inspections and records; also required under UK Regulations.
The Spiroscape includes a special cylinder, integrating both valve and pressure reducer and it is readily refilled with breathing air, using its simple, quick-fill adaptor. Its hood has a very flexible neck seal providing effective seal, easy donning and doffing and improved comfort. The inner mask safely prevents re-breathing exhalate and the physiological stresses associated with this.
Annual service may be effected by contracting a fixed price, Service exchange deal; so that you never have to worry about major, fifth year service costs, or the inconvenience of being without your kit, whilst the cylinder undergoes proof-testing. For use within British waters, we recommend that steel cylinders are selected, for convenience and serviceability.
PLEASE NOTE: All SCBA (including all products with gas-filled cylinders) represent hazardous goods, under EU transport regulations. The special hazard delivery charges, indicated in the price panel, cover delivery from one to 30 units, within a radius of 70 miles of Telford.
