A First Aid Fire fighting and Marshalling training day - very useful, practical training and guidance to managing Fire and determining what equipment is most appropriate to mitigating risk.
OBJECTIVES:
Fire Marshals and Deputies shall be both confident and competent to manage fire emergencies.
- Up on successful completion, candidates will be able to:
- Supervise the evacuation of buildings challenged by fire
- Understand when and how to organizes Fire-watch patrols
- Report and brief on incidents, accurately and succinctly
- Construct a Fire Action plan
- Efficiently manage roll-calls and marshalling points
- Use Portable Fire extinguishers safely and effectively for class A & B fires

9:00: Welcome & explanation of Aims, Objectives and limitations
A briefing on
- Fire Safety and Awareness at work
- Fire Detection and Alarm systems
- Your action in the event of a fire emergency
- Safe use of portable fire extinguisher
- Their role as a Fire Marshall
9:25: How accidental Fire affects your business and your lives
A discussion considering the impacts and costs of:
- Injury and death
- Loss of buildings, stock and equipment
- Insurance,
9:45: The physics, chemistry and behavior of Fire, smoke and associated toxins.

The lawful minimum and what is recommended.
11:20: Fire Safety and in Construction works and remote sites

12:30: Sandwich lunch break
13:00: Safe use of portable fire extinguishers.
- Candidates will learn what types are to be used in what circumstance and WHICH types
- CANNOT safely be used, with demonstration of how quickly a fire may spread, when the wrong
13:30: Practical instruction and fire fighting practise with water, foam and carbon dioxide extinguishers; using fire trays, on open ground.
14:30: Written test and course evaluation
14:50: Course close
- Fire Marshal- FAFT1; prices per instructor session. The maximum number of candidates per instructor shall not be more than 12.
- Prices include refreshments and course material and courses are conducted at our Fire training ground.
- By prior arrangement, we may arrange courses at your premises after having assessed these suitable.
- Prices for courses at customer premises will usually remain as advertised, will include instructor expenses but not include candidate refreshments.
- A record of candiate training will be kept securely on our records for a peiod not less than five years of training.
