Folding and packing to a cylinder five feet long and a foot diameter, for transport, the tripod needs neither ground anchors, nor foot-chains, to provide a securely rigid lowering frame.
The head equips a cable pulley block, simply locking the cable run, so that it cannot 'jump' and a further eye-hook, suitable for karabiner and Sky-hook attachments and rated at full load.
The Tripod will tolerate loads well above the load rating of 600 Kg and the legs extend to offer a crown height of up to eight feet above ground level.
See Tripod product detail, for further specifications. The Tripods we hire out are made by Abtech Safety and G-Stock Engineering. We consider these the best, most practical and most robust.
Note that PPE for fall arrest is not governed by Lifting of Loads at Work Regulations but by the PPE regulations. Therefore, Load test certificates must be provided at intervals specified in the maker's technical manuals, rather than every six months. The PPE regulations (Also: Working at Height Regulations) require all Fall arrest equipment to be visually examined and function tested, prior to EVERY USE.
