The exhaltion diaphragm (old number, 336 100 006) is simple to fit, after removing the diaphragm assembly from its housing (according to the instruction of Interspiro's service manual, here illustrated.
The demand and exhaltion diaphragms are fitted in a compound mechanism, amalgamating both demand and exhalation parts, so that the breathing system is fully balanced and Work of Breathing (WOB) remains low.
Material is Silicone rubber and it should NOT be lubricated with silicone grease. It requires no lubrication to function perfectly and its expected service life is 5 years.
It is also available packed in fives, as part number 346190196, which is priced at £25.80 plus VAT (enquire using web form)
For the DIVATOR, typical breathing rates induce WOB less than 1 joule/litre/second; as here illustrated. This unprecedented performance depends on correct assembly and adjustment.
