Divator visor, for Interspiro's Divator, MkII mask assembly.
This, optically correct visor is manufactured from tough, polycarbonate plastic, about 3mm thick. In the water, its differential refractive index is reduced almost to zero - meaning there in no distortion of view.
Although very tough and impact resistant, polycarbonate is not a scratch resistant, material, so the moulded stand-off lugs (on which can be mounted counter-balance diving weights) prevent the mask being placed down with optical surfaces vulnerable to rough and abrasive objects - We understand divers, boats and diving jobs!
Easily fitted, clamped in the mask's frame halves and adjusted for form and firmness, on stainless steel screws (M3 x 25) changing visors at sea is no problem, taking around five minutes.
Tools needed: P2 x 100 Philip's screw-driver, or hex-key set (depending on version), small pry-bar (Flat blade screw-driver will do) and soapy water. Details are published in the Divator, User Manual, issued with every mask.
