Take advantage of being able to acquire the first wholly composite cylinders ever designed for breathing apparatus.
The ambition was quite simply to make BA sets lighter, easier to use and safer - an ambition achieved.

Carbon fibre-reinforced polymers (CFRP) have many desirable properties, including high strength-to-weight ratio, high corrosion resistance and low thermal expansion. Well-known for its use in structural components for aerospace applications, CFRP has been used in Interspiro's partnership with ABB, to provide composite cylinders of unparalelled strength and low weight, since 1990 - when for-runners to these cylidners became first, ever stored pressure appllication for the materials. Even today, no other BA manufacturer has managed to provide so effective and safe a solution to the age old problem of trying to reduce the weight and size of breathing equipment cylinders..

Interspiro's outstanding safety pedigree and innovative approach resulted in a cylinder with a high volume to weight ratio and a very long service life.Exceeding all test specifications, internationally; SPIROLITE is a safe cylinder in extreme conditions; offering a service life for excellent return on your investment.

SPIROLITE are available as single cylinders, twin cylinder configuration (using a T-piece adaptor) and cylinder packs for mounting with a quick connect system.

Cylinder packs and twin configuration have the added advantage of enhanced balance and a reduced profile.
Cylinders are available in 3.4 and 6.7 litres. The 6.7 Litre cylinder, here, packs 1810 litres of air, which lasts about forty-five minutes of average duty, yet it is hardly bigger than a '30 minute' steel cylinder and just over half the weight!

Composite cylinders from Interspiro are an investment with a long service life, when properly maintained. To simplify service and to obtain maximum product performance we recommend using our service kits, containing original spare parts necessary for preventive maintenance.
We provide training courses for users who perform day-to-day service work, as well as training for service personnel performing full maintenance programmes.
